Thanks for the link Spacecase. It answered a question I had regarding geese.

I love that forum. I wish the Survival & Emergency Prep forum was busier but that's my only complaint.

Wow, looks super active to me, 100 people viewing and a ton of new posts just in that subforum!

Some very good subsections at HT. When I was getting started raising rabbits, there were some very helpful regulars. Good stickies in that section, too.

I've been a member over there for years. I'm always able to find or get answers to chicken problems. The S & E forum is WAY busier than it used to be. Every day Pam puts links to free kindle books in a thread on there and that has me hooked.

For chicken problems I really like www.backyardchickens.com/f/

I learned a lot there about raising and butchering meat chickens. And I got most of my incubating education there.

I've enjoyed the gardening section on HT. Every January there's a member who give away rare/unusual tomato and bean seeds. He's been doing it the last 10 years. Also there's an active seed train once or twice a year.

I've bought nearly all my pigs from HT members. It's a great resource for buying or selling animals.

I'm on that forum, too. There is good information, but stay out of the Politics and General Chat forums. They're pretty rabid. OTOH, it's always interesting to see how the other half thinks.
